I am a strong, confident woman. Not because I was given these qualities in the womb, but because I fight for them. Constantly. Every day. When depression, self-hatred, and timidity seek to devour me, I beat them back with truth, hope, and love. No one can give you these tools. You have to grab hold of them yourself and make fearless use of them.

You can’t control how other people see you. But you can choose to see yourself the way God sees you. Then you’ll find that living from His perspective usually changes not only how others see you but also how much you even care.
